Diagnosis Varicose Vein

Diagnosis of a varicose vein: Varicose vein is usually easy to see in legs. However, to work out the position and extent of any value damage, your doctor may suggest having an ultrasound scan (duplex). This uses sound waves to produce an image of the veins inside your leg. It allows your doctor to see your deep veins in more detail, and examine the structure and function of your varicose veins and rule out (DVT).
